Overgrowth can be caused by: Food allergies, use of NSAIDS, chronic antibiotic use, prescription drug use, and widespread use of antacids. Symptoms may include: Diarrhea, constipation, gas, bloating, GI disturbances, abdominal pain, headaches, joint pain, food intolerances, increased oxidative stress, detoxification overload, and a host of nutrient deficiencies. Intervention: Identify and eliminate all reactive foods, identify and eliminate all infections. Supplement with digestive enzymes, broad spectrum probiotics and hydrochloric acid, if indicated. Gut rebuilding supplements will be required. (L glutamine, Zinc Carnosine)

  • Low HCL
  • Inefficient detoxification capacity

  • Malabsorption of phenylalanine (an essential amino acid and precursor for tyrosine)
  • Abnormal overgrowth of unfavorable flora in the intestines
  • Decrease sugar add pre and probiotic

BACTERIAL OVERGROWTH GI MARKER: PHENYLACETATE
